Hosta 'Lemon Snap'

[S-M] We love the shocking combination of bright yellow leaves and rich red petioles, but lets be honest...aside from the super color, most of these yellow/red hostas are lacking in the leaf substance and form departments. We are excited to welcome the first of Bob Solberg's "next generation" of yellow/red hybrids. Hosta 'Lemon Snap' is an incredibly stout and sturdy yellow with rounded, cupped, and lightly puckered leaves that are held on upright, deep red petioles. The red creeps up the center vein on most leaves. This is a completely new combination of characteristics for a yellow/red hosta. Yes, hybridizers, the lavender flowers of 'Lemon Snap' are fertile!
