Hosta 'Rowan My Boat'

[M] Doug Beilstein brings us a brand new hybrid involving 'Butternut Hill', 'Azure Snow', and 'Treasure Island'. 'Rowan My Boat' is a very distinct plant with evenly textured leaves folded into perfect, pointed canoes. Even more unusual, the leaves emerge glossy green in the spring, before turning blue-green. The upturned, wavy leaf edges give a full view of the chalky leaf backs. Hosta 'Rowan My Boat' forms a vase-like mound about 14" tall and 31" across that blooms mid summer with fertile, lavender flowers. Named after Doug's grandson, so you know this is a special plant!
