Hosta 'Blue Phog'

[S] One of Jeff Moore's hybridizing goals has been to create interesting misted plants. 'Blue Phog' is one of the results of his work, coming from a cross of 'Allegan Fog' x 'Blueberry Muffin'. The white leaves are heavily marked with blue-green specks and splashes in the spring, and become mostly solid green by mid summer. A fun, easy grower, the flowers of Hosta 'Blue Phog' are fertile, if you're interested in developing misted hybrids of your own! Rob Mortko, a die-hard Jayhawk fan, tissue cultured the plant and suggested the spin on the spelling of "fog".
