Hosta 'The Mighty Quinn'
[L] I first saw this sport of 'Frost Giant' at Bob Solberg's nursery in 2015 when the AHS convention was in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a standout among the dozens of unnamed plants he was evaluating, and I'm excited to finally be able to offer it! 'The Mighty Quinn' holds its broad, blue leaves tall and proud. Each leaf is edged by a bold, wide, creamy-yellow margin that turns white by mid summer. The color contrast is exceptional and a mature plant is a garden centerpiece! Likely a tetraploid, Hosta 'The Mighty Quinn' has fantastic substance and forms a stunning upright mound about 26" tall by 48" wide. Even in the stifling heat of North Carolina, the white edge does not burn!
