Hosta 'Big B'

[L] Charles Kwick of Eau Claire, Wisconsin has registered over 100 hostas in the past few years, and some of his best are making their way to market. 'Big B' is a seedling from 'Blue Umbrellas' with almost round, dark green leaves that are domed and strongly textured with big bubbles and lumps. The finish is glossy and leaf substance excellent. Hosta 'Big B' holds its leaves horizontally on tall petioles to form and upright mound about 24" tall and at least 30" across that blooms with light lavender flowers in mid to late summer. Lots of character in this one!
