Hosta 'Tootie Mae'

[M] Loud and sassy is exactly what this sport of 'Tokudama Flavocircinalis' is. The broad, pointed leaves of 'Tootie Mae' have excellent substance, are gently cupped, and show nice corrugation with age. Each leaf has a narrow, irregular, blue center surrounded by a wide, dramatic margin that is a brighter shade of yellow than seen in its parent. As expected for a 'Tokudama' type plant, Hosta 'Tootie Mae' is not a fast grower, but will eventually form a striking mound about 18" tall and 40" across. Near-white, fertile flowers open just above the foliage in early summer.
