Pigsqueek is a great evergreen perennial for bringing a splash of color to the spring shade garden. The dark green, glossy foliage of Bergenia 'Fairytale Romance' is thick and rubbery, often turning red during the winter. Early spring brings spikes of 1 inch apple blossom-pink flowers to welcome the new season. Bergenia 'Fairytale Romance' is deer and rabbit resistant, and makes an excellent hosta companion. PPAF
