Hosta 'Aquamarine'

[M] The most exciting hosta to come from Terra Nova Nurseries' breeding program. 'Aquamarine' is like a polished gem in the garden, with broad, wavy leaves of soft, aqua-blue. The petioles are saturated with deep purple that runs into the base of the leaf, and in the spring the outer edge of each leaf is blushed with purple. A unique piece of the puzzle, as we make progress toward a truly red (or purple) hosta. Heavy leaf substance keeps slugs at bay. Hosta 'Aquamarine' will form a mound about 15" tall and 30" across that blooms in late summer with fertile, lavender flowers. PP22627
