Hosta 'Bud Lite'

[M] An unassuming hybrid of ('Neat Splash' x 'Rising Sun') x ('Grand Slam' x OP) from Doug Beilstein's work. 'Bud Lite' forms an upright clump about 18" tall and 28" wide of shiny, pointed green leaves. The vase-like habit is perfect for showing off the long, deep red petioles. Hosta 'Bud Lite' throws up straight, red scapes in mid-late summer with a dazzling flash of color in the young buds. The flowers open purple with white markings, and do set seed pods.
