Hosta 'Forbidden Fruit'
[M] Marco Fransen is doing some crazy, mad scientist things over in Holland and coming up with some interesting...and pretty...results! One such experiment resulted in this tetraploid form of 'Orange Marmalade'. The leaf substance is much heavier than its parent, and the blue-green margin wider. The center of the leaf is the same unusual, bright orange-yellow color in the spring, which fades to white by mid summer. Hosta 'Forbidden Fruit' really glows in the spring and blooms with lavender flowers.
