Hosta 'Glen Luminaria'
[L] This interesting seedling from Viktoria Serafin goes through a dramatic transformation through the growing season. 'Glen Luminaria' emerges in the spring with broad, frosty blue-green leaves. As spring slides into summer, the color transitions to soft, waxy yellow. As the heat of August builds, the wax melts away, leaving a glossy finish to the foliage. As with all of Viktoria's hosta introductions, Hosta 'Glen Luminaria' preforms best with a good dose of direct sun. Gently cupped, slightly wavy, and lightly corrugated leaves often show subtle shades of chartreuse, green, and yellow as they constantly morph. 'Glen Luminaria' forms a mound about 20" tall and 5' across that blooms in mid summer with light lavender flowers held just above the mound.
