Hosta 'How about That!'
[VL] There are several streaked 'Sum and Substance' sports on the market, but this one is a little different. Mark Zilis discovered 'How about That!' as a tissue culture sport of 'Sum It Up'. Large, rounded leaves have the distinct 'Sum and Substance' look...smooth, glossy, with a sharp tip. Instead of the typical chartreuse base color, though, the leaves are deep green with white streaks and splashes. Hosta 'How about That!' will form a large mound at least 20" tall and 48" across. In mid-late summer, tall scapes hold light lavender flowers that may set a few seed pods.
