Sarracenia 'Bug Bat'

Sarracenia 'Bug Bat' is stout Pitcher Plant hybrid with red hoods marked with tiny white specks.  Blooms with bizarre red flowers.  Makes a great addition to a bog garden or pond edge.

Pitcher Plants require constantly damp-wet, nutrient poor, acidic soil. We grow these in equal parts peat moss and perlite, setting in a shallow tray of water. Rain water or distilled water is best, as low mineral content is needed.  Regular potting soil and fertilizer are detrimental to the plant.
