Hosta 'Blueberry Waffles'

[VL] This plant was the talk of the 2009 American Hosta Society National Convention in Lansing, Michigan! A hybrid between 'Spilt Milk' and 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd' that has waxy, deep blue leaves over 14" long. The rounded leaves have excellent substance and develop unbelievably intense puckering and corrugation with age. The foliage of Hosta 'Blueberry Waffles' is so rigid and textured that the 30" high by 68" wide mound is somewhat unruly. Fertile, near white flowers bloom in early summer, like dollops of whipped cream on your blueberry waffles. This is going to be a hot one...eat it up!
