About Our Plants

There are numerous reason you can buy with confidence from In The Country Garden & Gifts.

Hostas

We do not baby our plants! All of our hostas are grown in 1 quart to 1 gallon pots. Some miniatures are grown in 4" pots. All of the hostas listed have been grown a minimum of one growing season unless otherwise marked, and many of the older varieties are multi eyed plants. Keep in mind that those varieties brand new on the market are sometimes a bit smaller than older varieties.

We don't grow large quantities of any single variety and with our local sales, there may be occasions when our online catalog may not be 100% accurate regarding availability. Weather and other factors beyond our control also play a roll. Should we not be able to supply an ordered plant, we will refund the cost of the plant or allow you to pick a substitute of equal value.

Other Plants

All of our plants are pot grown. Pot size depends on the plant. Heucheras and Tiarellas are grown in quart pots. Other plants are grown in pots ranging in size from 4" to 1 gallon.
