Hosta 'Frilly Fantasy'

[M] Our good friend, Ed Schulz, of Dubuque, Iowa, has done it again, with this frilly gold hybrid. The somewhat triangular leaves of 'Frilly Fantasy' are quite twisted and heavily ruffled and serrated along the edges. Each lobe of the rounded leaf base curls up, like wings prepared to take flight. Chartreuse spring color brightens in good light, and glows bright gold through the last half of the summer. Hosta 'Frilly Fantasy' forms an open, semi upright mound that blooms mid summer with fertile lavender flowers. Ed knows exactly what hosta fantasies are made of!
