Hosta 'Neptune'

2023 Hosta of the Year!

[L] Everything about this plant is unique! A hybrid of ('Maekawa' x 'Halcyon') x 'Salute' that is the color of an exotic, aqua-blue sea. The leaves are pointed, fiercely ruffled, and have frothy white backs. Hosta 'Neptune' forms an upright, cascading mound that is topped in August with gracefully arching scapes of lavender flowers. Distinct even as a young plant.  Forms a low, wide mound to about 4 feet across.
