Hosta 'The King'

[L] The head of the royal court is a seedling out of 'Sea Prize' and the margined form of 'Sir Richard'. Broad green leaves are edged by a wide, gently undulating, brassy-gold margin. Gray-green streaks occasionally jut into the green center and by mid summer the gold edge turns creamy-white. Whether adorned in gold or platinum, Hosta 'The King' grows into a commanding mound about 20" high and 40" across. Fertile, pale lavender flowers bloom in early summer.
