Hosta 'Whispering Waves'

[M]  Minnesota master hybridizer Don Dean really caught the perfect wave with this dynamic new introduction! Derived from a complex cross of 'Peek-a-boo Purple' x ('Astral Bliss' x 'Purple Verticulated Elf'), Hosta 'Whispering Waves' brings movement and animation to the garden. It's easy to fall for its dancing foliage the moment it emerges in spring.

Reaching 16" high and 32" wide, the medium green leaves feature heavily ruffled margins and a playful tip twist that gives the entire clump a rippling, wave-like motion. Because those long leaves are held up in a tidy, upright habit, they proudly reveal a flash of rich red along the lower half of the petioles. In August, sturdy scapes rise above the foliage to display fertile, lavender flowers.

Hosta 'Whispering Waves' is the perfect solution for adding texture, motion, and grace to a quiet shaded corner of your garden.
