Hosta 'Wonderland'

[S] This little known plant from Alex Malloy is a delightful surprise that deserves to be better known. The origins of 'Wonderland' can be traced back to the old Hosta nakiana hybrid, 'Akarana'. This sport has pointed, green leaves that are quite wavy and twisted. The wide, streaky yellow margin is separated from the green center by white flashes that become more pronounced as the season progresses. The tri-color markings make for a very striking plant that is compact enough for any garden. Leaf substance is better than average and the growth rate is vigorous. Hosta 'Wonderland' forms a dense, layered mound about 7" tall and 15" across that blooms in mid summer with lavender flowers. Add this little beauty to your garden...I think you'll love it!
