Hosta 'Affair to Remember'

[L]  When master hybridizer Hans Hansen paired a (streaked 'Cherry Berry' x 'Mississippi Delta') seedling with the legendary giant 'Empress Wu', magic happened! Hosta 'Affair to Remember' lives up to its romantic name in every way, creating a stunning focal point! Reaching 29" tall and spreading nearly six feet across, this gorgeous hosta brings dramatic scale and striking variegation to a lightly shade garden.

The foliage is living art! Large, heart-shaped leaves emerge in spring with greenish-yellow centers surrounded by broad, dark green margins. Where those colors overlap, a gorgeous medium green feather pattern jets outward into the edge, creating a layered tricolor effect across each leaf. As midsummer approaches, those yellow centers shift gracefully to crisp white while dense clusters of white flowers rise on sturdy scapes just above the foliage.  Hosta 'Affair to Remember' is a steady grower that holds up surprisingly well through the season.  PP35945 CPBRAF
