[M-L] This sport of 'Dancing Queen' is one of Jan van den Top's most beautiful introductions. Pointed, deeply veined leaves emerge brilliant yellow in the spring, while edged by a deep green, wildly ruffled margin. 'Amalia' can tolerate morning or late afternoon sun, which helps keep the yellow leaf centers from turning chartreuse. In bright light, the leaf centers can even bleach to white. A good growers that holds up well, Hosta 'Amalia' will form a 16" tall and 38" wide mound that blooms with fertile, lavender flowers in mid summer.
