Hosta 'And You and I'

[VL] A good plant is even better when it has a special story behind it. Wanting to honor 40 wonderful years together, Rob Mortko named this hosta for his wife, Sheri. Hosta 'And You and I' is a sport of 'Gentle Giant' that Rob discovered in his tissue culture lab. 'Gentle Giant' is an impressive plant, forming a huge vase-shaped clump of blue, cupped leaves. Adding a snow-white edge to the leaves is the icing on an already perfect cake. The foliage is a bit wavy, moderately puckered, and of excellent substance. Hosta 'And You and I' grows into a huge, distinctly upright clump about 42" tall and 68" wide that blooms in mid summer with fertile, lavender flowers held just above the leaves.
