Hosta 'Bashful'

[S] Anyone who has been fortunate enough to visit Kathie Sisson's garden knows she has a knack for creating beautifully designed garden vignettes. It's becoming apparent that she has a keen eye for selecting unique hosta seedlings, too! This seedling from the old work horse, 'Blue Cadet' is an especially rare find. The small, heart-shaped leaves very much resemble those of its parent, except they are creamy yellow and misted with blue-green flecks. As the season progresses the overall color darkens, but new growth continues to emerge light colored. Hosta 'Bashful' has good substance and quickly forms a small, dense mound that blooms in early summer with white flowers.
