Hosta 'Bowe Derek'

[M]  Playfully named to honor a classic Hollywood icon, Hosta 'Bowe Derek' easily rates a perfect 10 in the shade garden. When David Bowe paired 'One Man's Treasure' with 'Stardust', he scored a true garden sensation! You will fall for this glamor girl the moment her glossy foliage unfurls in the spring.

Shiny, bright yellow leaves are backed by sturdy, thick substance and form a clump reaching 14" high and spreading about 30" wide. Reddish-purple petioles hold those blonde leaves, showcasing pure, high-contrast drama. Come midsummer, short purple scapes rise just above the foliage to display pretty, purple striped flowers, adding yet another layer of colorful detail to an already show-stopping performance.  Hosta 'Bowe Derek' packs a lot of star power into a classy package!
