Hosta 'Broad Band'
[L] Ron Livingston is a master hybridizer and this creation is a one of his nicest! The dark green leaves become quite rounded with age and as the name suggests, a broad band of gold encircles each leaf. The gold margin fades to creamy-white by mid summer and is often irregular and streaky, creating gray-green flashes between the center and margin. Hosta 'Broad Band' forms a showy mound about 23" high and 46" across that is topped with near white flowers in mid to late summer.
