Hosta 'Bubble Wrap'

[M]  You'll get the urge to pop the bubbles every time you see this creation from Doug Beilstein.  The result of multiple crosses involving 'Dorothy Benedict', 'Blue Hawaii', 'Wahoo', 'Silver Bay', and some unnamed seedlings, Hosta 'Bubble Wrap' has rounded, gently cupped leaves that develop strong texturing of bumps and lumps that just beg to be popped!  The deep green leaves are edged with a wide gold margin that tapers off to nothing at the leaf tip.  Hosta 'Bubble Wrap' speaks to the senses through its 18" tall and 30" wide mound.  Fertile, lavender flowers bloom just above the foliage in midsummer.
