Hosta 'Chicago Blues'

[M] Hosta 'Chicago Blues' is a third generation hybrid out of Bob Solberg's "Longiana" line, a breeding line combining Hosta sieboldiana and Hosta longipes genetics. The result is an incredibly durable plant with wavy, gently cupped leaves that are an outstanding, rich blue. The thick, waxy foliage has a purple cast to it in the spring, while the purple petioles are the most colorful of its siblings. Hosta 'Chicago Blues' grows into a sturdy mound about 14" tall and 28" across that looks great all season long.
