Hosta 'Colleen Marie'

[M-L] A strong and stately introduction from newcomer, Charles Kwick of Wisconsin. 'Colleen Marie' is a cross of the classic 'Sagae' x Mildred Seaver's 'Sea Gulf Stream'. Leaves are broad and pointed, gently cupped, heavily ruffled along the margins, and deeply veined. The plant emerges in the spring soft lime-green, but brightens dramatically through the summer to deep, vivid gold. Hosta 'Colleen Marie' is a fast grower that forms a vase-like mound about 20" tall and at least 36" across that blooms in early summer with pretty lavender heads that open with fertile, light lavender flowers.
