Hosta 'Country Livewire'

[S-M] Green hostas are too often overlooked, but you'll find it hard to overlook this new In The Country introduction! Even in the seed pot under lights, this seedling of Hosta 'Candy Dish' looked nothing like its siblings. Hosta 'Country Livewire' has long, pointed leaves that are deep green, with a nice sheen. Leaf edges turn up slightly to show white undersides, and are trimmed by lots of big, energetic ruffles. With age, the foliage tends to broaden a bit. Hosta 'Country Livewire' grows quickly into an animated clump about 14" tall and 30" across that blooms with large lavender flowers on horizontal scapes in late summer.
