Hosta 'First Love'

[L] Hosta montana 'Aureomarginata' may be many a hostaholic's first love, but this reverse sport from Marco Fransen will come in a close second. 'First Love' has long, pointed leaves embossed with closely spaced veins. Leaves emerge early in the spring with butter-yellow centers that gradually fade to white. Wide, deep green margins frame each leaf, creating a gorgeous, dramatic plant. Hosta 'First Love' grows into an upright mound about 28" tall and 48" or more across that blooms with pale lavender flowers in mid summer.
