Hosta 'Phoenix Feathers'

[M] This Dan Wols hybrid of 'Harry van de Laar' x 'Sun Power' is the most esteemed convention gift plant in recent memory, given to the attendees of the 2022 American Hosta Society Convention that took place in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The red-hot petioles of 'Phoenix Feathers' give rise to pointed, folded, and twisted leaves with lively, ruffled edges. Foliage emerges green in the spring, but quickly ignites to searing yellow. In late summer, sturdy, purple scapes hold fertile, lavender flowers above the glowing mound. Hosta 'Phoenix Feathers' is a strong grower that looks great all season.
