Hosta 'Star-kissed'

[L] Mark Zilis discovered numerous sports in his tissue culture lab, including this sport of 'Stardust'. Rarely seen in gardens, 'Star-kissed' has broad, heavy leaves that emerge solid gold in the spring. As the season progresses, the leaf centers darken, creating a wide golden margin around the green center. The color contrast is subdued, but creates a big, beautiful plant. Hosta 'Star-kissed' grows into a semi-upright mound about 24" tall and 50" across that blooms in mid summer with very light lavender flowers.
