[S-M] Doug Ruff of Minnesota is about to set the hosta world on fire with his RED hosta, 'Bloodline'! This hybrid of a 'Tequila Sunrise' seedling x 'First Blush' colors deep burgundy-red across the entire leaf. The most saturated color develops with cool night temperatures and some direct sun. A vigorous grower that colors up as soon as it emerges and holds its color until mid to late summer. Incredible! Hosta 'Bloodline' quickly forms a mound about 14" tall and 24" across that blooms in late summer with barely fertile, light purple flowers on red scapes. 'Bloodline' sets the bar for red hostas!
