[L]  The late Bob "IndianaBob" Balitewicz shared this prized creation with only a few close friends before passing away in 2014, leaving behind a legendary plant that never got widely distributed.

Hosta 'Troubled Waters' makes a captivating specimen plant. As a powerful 'Big John' hybrid, this giant forms an impressive, large mound of thick, deeply corrugated blue-green leaves adorned with dramatic, heavily rippled margins that resemble churning waves. Needless to say, collectors noticed and a single division commanded an incredible $430 bid at the 2013 American Hosta Society auction!

This dramatic plant remained impossible to find over the years, but we are honored to finally give it the introduction it deserves. With its saturated blue-green foliage and leathery, puckered texture, Hosta 'Troubled Waters' is a beautiful piece of hosta history!
