Hosta 'Cool Mouse'

[Mini] Danny brings us a new sport of his streaked Hosta 'Mouse Party' with a unique variegation pattern. Hosta 'Cool Mouse' has thick, rounded, blue-green leaves, like you'd expect from a mouse. Each leaf has a yellow margin, but the cool part is the white flash where the yellow edge meets the blue-green center. We've seen similar markings in other, usually larger, hostas, but this is the first in the mouse family. Hosta 'Cool Mouse' grows into a distinct mound about 6" tall and 14" across. Short, stout scapes of cute, lavender flowers bloom in mid summer. 'Cool Mouse' is a good grower, but a little difficult to produce in large numbers.
