Hosta 'Peanut'

[Mini-S] A pretty little hosta that is shrouded in a fog of controversy. Heavy substanced, dark green leaves emerge with narrow creamy centers that quickly turn striking white. Foliage develops heavy puckering for a mini and exhibits good substance. Hosta 'Peanut' was the recipient of the People's Choice award at the 2002 First Look seedling and sport competition, but soon after, a debate ensued about the identity of this hosta. It looks remarkably similar to the hard to find 'Lakeside Dot Com' and after much debate, the First Look group revoked the award. Regardless of what you call it, 'Peanut' makes a striking little clump about 6" tall and 12" across. Purple flowers mid summer.
