Spigelia marilandica 'Little Redhead'

Indian Pink is one of the most exquisite, but rarely seen natives from the eastern US. Spigelia marilandica 'Little Redhead' forms compact clumps of bright green foliage that are topped in late spring and early summer with clusters of scarlet, tubular flowers that end in a yellow star. A hummingbird magnet! Spigelia 'Little Redhead' grows more spectacular year after year in a lightly shaded area with moist, organic soil. Deadhead for a second flush of blooms.
