Hosta 'Black Onyx'

[M-L]  Dutch hybridizer Arie Blom unearthed a rare jewel for the shade garden with this dark tetraploid beauty! Hosta 'Black Onyx' glistens like a polished precious stone with broad, leathery leaves, a glassy, mirror-like finish, and ultra-dark onyx-green color. Each wavy leaf catches light like facets of a freshly cut black diamond in a shady corner of the garden. Hosta 'Black Onyx' becomes a true botanical gemstone when set off by vibrant yellow or frosty blue companions. The darkest color develops in a shady location, but this tough plant can handle a sunnier spot, too. Blooms with light purple flower.
