Hosta 'Captain Cam'

[M]  When hybridizer Jeff Moore crossed his own 'Wandering Noel' (a choice 'Marilyn Monroe' x 'Painted Blueberry' hybrid) with Han Hansen's 'Joyride', he created a plant with serious swagger! Hosta 'Captain Cam' captures your attention, holding itself in a neat, semi-upright clump.

Long, grey-green leaves are trimmed with lively ripples that flow all the way down to the pointed tips. Because those narrow leaves flare outward on saturated purple-red petioles, every breeze reveals a flash of rich color beneath the mound. In mid-late summer, Hosta 'Captain Cam' blooms with lavender flowers.
