Hosta 'Chris' Admin'

[M] Hosta is the Friendship Plant, as German hybridizer Christina Brinkmann demonstrated by naming this seedling of 'Concord' to honor the friends who help administrate her Facebook group. 'Chris' Admin' emerges in the spring with fresh green leaves that brighten to yellow by mid-summer with good light. Leaves are quite smooth, with softly rippled margins. The most striking feature of this friendship plant is the deep purple - nearly black - petioles and scapes. The contrast against the light colored foliage is very dramatic! Hosta 'Chris' Admin' is a true example of the Friendship Plant at work.
