Hosta 'Christmas Toast'

Bob Solberg Hosta Collection 2027

[M] When hosta guru Bob Solberg decided this festive sport of 'Avocado Toast' was worth introducing, he unwrapped the ultimate holiday celebration! For several years, Bob reserved Hosta 'Christmas Toast' for hosta convention vending and other special sales events, but now the magic of this hostas is here for all to enjoy. Round, deep emerald green leaves develop rich corrugation and light cupping, while held on dark, crimson red petioles. As if toasting to the growing season, Hosta 'Christmas Toast' shows off its saturated color by quickly growing into a jolly, upright clump about 12" tall and 24" across. Stout dark red scapes carrying fertile lavender blooms in late summer.
