Hosta 'Coastal Solar Impulse'

[M]  Hosta ‘Coastal Solar Impulse’ is a high-energy new introduction from the late hybridizer Rik Desmedt that brings a unique glow to the shade garden. This unique plant is the result of a powerhouse cross between 'Valley's Hot Legs' and 'Jello'.

The star feature of 'Coastal Solar Impulse' is its dynamic color play. In the spring, the satiny blue-green leaves emerge with a delicate, thin purple edge that adds a sophisticated touch of detail. To really see this impulse of color reach its full potential, give it a spot with some sun to bring out its most intense color. A purple haze also develops along the center vein of each leaf. Are you ready to add some solar power to your shade?
