Hosta 'Deep Blue Sea'
[M] One of Charlie Seaver's most widely grown and distinctive introductions. A 'Blue Moon' hybrid with rounded and cupped leaves that are an outstanding, dark blue-green color. The foliage has excellent substance and develops the most incredible, heavily pebbled and corrugated surface with age. Hosta 'Deep Blue Sea' holds up all season, and looses some of the blue color by late summer. A slow grower, but eventually will form a mound about 15" tall and 36" across that blooms with nearly sterile, pale lavender flowers in mid to late summer.
