Hosta 'Ebony Blade'

[M]  Here is masterclass in sleek darkness from Michigan hybridizer Noah Schwartz. An open pollinated seedling of 'Curly Fries', Hosta 'Ebony Blade' forms a beautifully shaped mound of tapered, dark green leaves that arch outward in a tight, symmetrical clump about 18-20" tall and 30" wide. Rising from the center of the mound are stunning, pitch-black flower scapes that carry rich dark lavender blooms - a display that a mature clump shows off for five-plus weeks! Hosta 'Ebony Blade' is a fascinating combination of foliage and scapes working in tandem to deliver an unforgettable display of moody sophistication.
