Hosta 'Frosted Raspberry'

[S] 'Raspberry Sorbet' has always been a favorite of mine that I felt was under appreciated. Maybe this new sport from Jan van den Top will have enough flavor to to grab more attention. 'Frosted Raspberry' has the same super glossy, pointed green leaves of its parent, but each wavy leaf is frosted with a narrow white margin. Foliage is held on deep red spotted petioles and forms a compact mound about 12" tall and 30" across. Perhaps the best part of Hosta 'Frosted Raspberry' is the beautiful flower display in late summer. Short red scapes hold many colorful purple flowers that have a flash of magenta at the base.
