Hosta 'German Sundown'

[S-M]  Bring the warmth of a summer evening to your shade garden with Hosta 'German Sundown'. This brilliant new introduction from German hybridizer Christina Brinkmann is a powerful tetraploid sport of 'Chris' Tropical Sundown', meaning it’s built with double the chromosomes and even more vibrant color.

The first thing you’ll notice are the thick, rubbery leaves that emerge in a stunning, bright yellow. These aren't just sturdy; they feature lightly rippled margins that give the plant a sense of elegant movement as it catches the light.

The extra-thick leaf substance makes 'German Sundown' incredibly durable and highly resistant to slugs, keeping your garden looking pristine. The glowing yellow foliage is held high on rich red petioles, providing a sophisticated pop of color from the ground up. The beauty continues into blooming season with vibrant red flower scapes that tower above the golden leaves.

If you’re looking for a hosta that combines rugged durability with the radiant glow of a sunset, 'German Sundown' is the champion your garden deserves.
