Hosta 'Hogwarts'

[M] Like a magic spell gone wrong in a good way, this hybrid from Doug Beilstein looks like a dark, swirling storm cloud. Hosta 'Hogwarts' is a cross of 'Clear Fork River Valley' x ('Brutus' x montana f. macrophylla). The wavy, deep green leaves are so heavily textured and corrugated that they become randomly twisted, with some leaves cupped and others domed. The overall look is quite striking, but may not be for everyone. Hosta 'Hogwarts' grows into an upright clump about 24" tall and at least 36" across that blooms in mid summer with fertile, light lavender flowers.
