Hosta 'It Came from Outer Space'

[M]  You don't need 3D glasses or a Hollywood movie crew to witness the spectacular arrival of this selection from hybridizer Mike Vasey's cross of 'Sugar Plum' x 'Foxfire Irish Moon'. While the unique color combination seems to come from a different galaxy, rest assured that this beautiful hosta is 100% Earth born!

Hosta 'It Came from Outer Space' floats its round, gently cupped yellow leaves above saturated dark purple petioles. Because those saucer-like leaves are drenched in thick wax, they create a glowing, otherworldly contrast against the deep purple stems showing below...a very striking color combination!
