Hosta 'Red Cadet'

[S] Danny's hybrid of 'Riptide' x 'Blue Cadet' is like a 'Blue Cadet' with red petioles. 'Red Cadet' emerges with gently folded, blue-green foliage that is lightly wavy and develops slight puckering with maturity. The white backed foliage is held on intense, red spotted petioles. A strong grower that holds up well through the season. Hosta 'Red Cadet' forms a dense mound about 8" tall and 16" across that blooms with red scapes of fertile, lavender flowers in mid summer.
